New Blog!!

The past couple of days Adam and I have spent quite a bit of time giving my cake blog a much needed face lift. I'm feeling pretty good about it, but I would LOVE love some feedback. Is there something else I could do to improve it? Something that doesn't read or look quite right? PLEASE let me know!! You all are my best feedback :) Thanks!

It looks adorable. :D

The only thing that I noticed is the "sweet menu." You're probably using that to say, "hey, this is a menu of all the tasty treats that are available." To me it looks like a menu of navigation, but I can't click on any of the items for more info. Then I look at the actual menu bar I only see baby cakes. Perhaps just making the "sweet menu" clickable or adding a dropdown for all types of cakes might fix this usability problem. Just my 2cents, take it or leave it. :P

angie.

I think your ckae3 blog looks great. I want some of your cakes right now just because your web site-makes me hungry for them. I tried to add up how many miles it is from Las Vegas to Cozumel but once I got over 1500 miles then multiplying it by $.75 both ways $2250 wow maybe that will not work out.;) But I love your blog. And if I know anyone who needs cakes in that area I will be sure to let them know to check yours out.

hey whitney! I promise to not fall off the face of the planet. :) just no more FB. We paid $500 for a small booth and $800 for a large one. The ones we attended, though, you also had to either pay for carpeting or bring your own flooring, and it was another $30 or so for electricity. Down in Vegas I'll bet it's a bit more. I don't think you'd need more than a small booth though. Most cake places only had a small booth, with flavors to taste and a portfolio. I'd do a giveaway or something to attract brides and have order forms to fill out on the spot. :) When is it? Maybe I can come down and help you!

I'd suggest moving it to its own domain and getting wordpress. www.whitneyscakes.com or something that would be available. This way you'd have more control over it and be able to potentially try and sell things?
